first of february

today was a lovely start to the new month.  i have begun a 3 day raw cleanse and was successfully able to withstand eating the second chocolate croissant that came in the bag of croissants i got for ezra at the grocery store this morning and have instead nourished myself with only fruits and vegetables all day - i feel the buzz - my cells are tickling me underneath my skin.  i walked, pushing ezra in the stroller, to the store and was able to get 3 days worth of food stuffed under his seat, one bag hanging from the handlebar, and a bunch of bananas rode on the canopy.  we came home and while i sipped on a green smoothie we made the gingerbread house we never got to over the holidays.  i must confess i did eat a few nerds but they tasted awful between sips of my delicious smoothie.

ezra says it's a valentine's house.

then in the afternoon we went to mullet beach with some friends.

ezra watched daniela and sophia in the ocean.

she's been swimming in the ocean since she was 2 months old.  she has no fear - not even of the barracuda we saw later swimming amongst the school of angel fish.  looking for dinner?

ezra brought his garbage truck to the beach for the first time and that kept him very busy in the sand.
(although he was in my arms in the ocean when we saw that barracuda later!)

 he ran up

 and down

 while sophia watched on.

we were blessed by this beautiful rainbow before leaving the beach

and came home to a beautiful sunset view on the balcony.  life is good.
p.s. i took a picture of michael studying but was forbidden to post the shot.  in case you ever wonder why you never see him here it's because he's always studying.

a lovely beginning to february, with another gorgeous day at the beach and the cleanse. i'm so impressed you can do it with ezra and your husband home. i have failed miserably unless i am home alone.

  4. You have more willpower than me. I don't think I could say no to a chocolate croissant.

  5. That is an impressive house...how did you make it? Love the photos on the beach. Sam would do that over and over too. He is scared of the water. I love the first photo. x
