karakters is my new favorite island hang out. it is a restaurant, lounge, and beach bar in simpson bay and features live jazz and tapas on friday nights. there is an old school bus on the property that has been converted into a bar. we went there last night with cat and bianca again - no husbands this time as of course they were doing what they do best - studying.
we sit on the beach so the kids can jump from chair to table to bean bag. they love this game and i love watching them.
on this particular night they made friends with another little boy there with his parents.
they watched this guy run after his soccer ball and tumble backwards in the ocean in a fancy stunt to kick it back to the beach.
they thought this was soooo funny - if you look closely you can see ezra laughing.
the other little boy tried to imitate this move afterward several times followed by ezra and bianca giving it a try too. the beach in the evening is so soft and fun for this kind of pouncing play.
there were many graham cracker breaks
and then more of this wild rumpus.
they made up a game where they stood at the shoreline holding hands and then would all scream and run back up the sand when a wave came.
it was a fun evening for the kids while cat and i enjoyed ourselves talking and having tapas and wine.
I want to be eating tapas and drinking wine on the beach! I love the photos, especially the last two. x
